Regional factsheets, navigating NZ's new national freshwater regulations

NZ Government's new freshwater regulations were finalised in August 2020. These new regulations include new standards plus the current requirements outlined by various regional councils.

DairyNZ has produced a series of fact sheets summarising this information and have tailored it to specific regions. These regions include Northland, Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Hawke’s Bay, Horizons, Taranaki, Greater Wellington, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland.

Some of the new regulations will take immediate effect from 3 September 2020, while for others there is a longer timeframe for implementation.
