‘Taumata Arowai – Water Services Regulator Bill’ to provide safer drinking water in NZ

The Government of New Zealand has announced the passage of the ‘Taumata Arowai – the Water Services Regulator Bill’, which is expected to provide safer and sustainable drinking water.

Local Government New Zealand (LGNZ) Minister Nanaia Mahuta says, “The establishment of Taumata Arowai will go a long way to ensuring that New Zealanders throughout the country, and our visitors, can have confidence that when they turn on the tap, the water is safe to drink."
